What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

First and foremost, I’m a hopeless romantic, I love, love. As a deeply emotive and nostalgic soul, I thrive in meaningful moments. Real moments and authentic connections make me feel truly alive and wedding photography embraces everything I value most.. genuine connections, raw emotions and above all else, love. I’ve always been a big people person. I adore meeting new people and hearing their stories. With a creative spirit and a deep love for human connection, photography and weddings feel like the perfect blend of everything that makes me who I am.

How would you describe your photography style in three words?

Authentic. Emotive. Romantic.

What’s your favourite part of photographing weddings?

The people I get to meet. The love and joy I get to capture. The memories I get to be a part of.

How do you help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera?

I focus on building a real connection with my couples, so that when the wedding day comes, it feels like you’ve got a lifelong friend behind the camera (who just happens to be really good at taking photos). I do my best to create a fun, relaxed environment that allows my couples to truly be themselves, soak in the moment and forget about the camera.

What’s your go-to coffee order before a wedding day?

Haha, I am definitely a long black psychopath, through and through. Coffee is life.

What’s a wedding moment that always makes you emotional, no matter how many times you see it?

For me, it’s always the smaller, more personal moments, especially the ones with family. I’m a sucker for tearing up when a dad sees his daughter for the first time or during a father-daughter dance to their song. Having lost my dad in 2016, those moments hit differently now. It’s also the little things like the look on your parents faces as they watch you marry the love of your life or the hugs with grandparents after the ceremony. Weddings are full of these fleeting, sentimental moments and I feel so lucky to capture them.

When you’re not photographing weddings, how do you love spending your time?

My love language is quality time, so you’ll usually find me with my partner, Ryan either at the beach, catching waves, soaking in the sun with a book or obsessing over F1 (yes, I’m officially a Formula 1 girlie).

I also cherish time with my family, deep convos over coffee and wine with my girlfriends and hanging out with my sister and her two little girls, Andi & Rio, the absolute lights of my life.

If you could photograph a wedding anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I’ve been lucky enough to shoot weddings all over the world and Europe has been a dream, but these days I’m craving more of a laid back, tropical island wedding. Think Maldives, Tahiti or Hawaii. Sun drenched days, ocean swims, cocktails by the pool and guests in full holiday celebration mode. Absolute heaven.

What’s your best advice for couples planning their wedding?

Don’t lose sight of what truly matters. It’s so easy to get caught up in the Instagram hype or feel pressure from outside influences but at the end of the day, it’s about your love and celebrating with the people who mean the most to you. Stay true to yourselves and everything else will fall into place.
